So does that make them one drawing?

Here's Depth Charge. A very awesome robot who turns into a Manta-ray. Little more detail, little more abstract. This one was more fun. The next one will go back to "suggesting" more detail than is present. (which is always a good thing)

It's actually half a drawing...

You know those really funky ink-blot pictures that the therapists use to see if you so crazy? Yeah I drew HALF of one of those as a tribute to my favourite crazy-off-his-ass spider from Beast Wars, a Transformers cartoon from the mid-nineties, named Tarantulas. Then I flipped it to make the whole image above. It was a real chore trying to actually make it look like one of those, with the ink pooling, smearing and dripping everywhere, but still look like what it was supposed to be. I also drew it free-hand from memory, with no reference photos of Tarantulas, and I was delighted to see that the few details I missed could be chalked up to artistic license. Take THAT overly-critical and judgemental art genre!

This also makes it the first piece of art up here that's got a tangible form. Albeit, only half.

Laughter IS the best medicine...

Finished this Joker mugshot just this morning after feeling a little... drained for a few days. Not as much time or effort was spent compared to the previous two drawings, but I'm happy with the outcome.

Batman! Yes, that is his name. He's a 5 and a half month old Rottweiler puppy and very intelligent. Also he's so... goddamn... CUTE it makes me ill.

Something new:

I found where I wrote down my password! In hindsight I should've just got a new one, but that's what being a lazy mofo is all about.

In honour of my discovery, I present these two art pieces (one featured right) I whipped up while experimenting with new styles and aesthetics, as well as... *ahem* proportions.



The first is my redesign of a Transformers characters named Sky-byte, (who is a favourite of mine due to his immaculately painted figure) in a more neo-realistic-cartoony (if that makes sense) style of drawing. The second is a pinup picture of sorts of one of my all-time favourite fictional characters Harley Quinn. I seem to be more comfortable and productive doing still artwork. Maybe animation is not quite something I have a grasp over. Not that I won't stop trying.

Enjoy my reckoning. And I suppose this is also a late-late-late-LATE kick-off to 2010.

A new animation...?

Here's a little sample pic from the same animation the last one was from. Fans of the DCAU might notice that the last picture was certainly not from the DCAU's style, but It's all one massive doodle, to me. It'll make sense in the context of the finished project. The scene itself is not finished. I'm missing the background and the cane is silhouette.

Still can't figure out why the computer discolours the images, though.
